no more "pencil sharpener"

I have made a tough decision and have switched our liter box out to a new one. For our wedding present, Kyle bought us the automatic liter box that scoops itself 10 minutes after every disposal. We were in love with this machine! It saved on me having to buy as much liter and it controlled the smell better! When we moved into the house, I bought a new one because that one had been peed on way too many times and I felt it was a good idea to have a 'fresh' start. But, here lately, no matter what I do, I feel as if the smell of Stifler and his mess grows increasingly stronger. And, Stifler in his old age, has gotten in the habit of getting liter all over the house! I swear I am kicking it around all the time!! It's totally gross and embarrassing...I swear that our guests have to wonder what in the world they're stepping on and kicking around all the time! I'm not sure if any of these factors will get better, but tonight, we bought a dome liter box, new environmentally and cat friendly liter, and liner bags to put inside. I don't know if Stifler will like or use the new liter though. It has a strong smell that he already acted as if he didn't like. I mixed some of the old liter in there so we'll see if that helps at all. So, for all of you who have grown familiar and comfortable with the pencil sharpener in the other room, I am sad to say that it is wrapped up in garbage bags in the garage and will make it's way to a garage sale soon...if I can get it cleaned enough that is. Sorry guys, no more sounds 10 minutes after every Stifler poop....
