What are we going to do to fill our time without a wedding to go to?

As I sit here at 12:17am on Friday morning watching That 70s Show, I am just now getting time to get on here and update the blog. I wanted to post right after the weekend was over but for some reason I just didn't feel like getting on here and typing beyond what I had to do for work. And then the adaptor on my laptop broke and somehow ruined the inside of it and now it doesn't work. I have to send it off to the Gateway fix-it place and will probably have to wait a few weeks to get it back. Thus, my time on the computer has been limited.

We had another great weekend! It kind of revolved around another wedding. My best guy friend from school Nick got married in New Harmony. I love Nick and I love New Harmony, so I was super excited for this wedding! But first let's back track to the 4th....Travis had to work that day, so I took advantage of the time and did my post-partum visit with Tessa and Nick (Defore). It was great to see them and baby Elia and see how well they were doing with such a big change in their lives! I spent most of that day in the car because after I left there, I drove to Greencastle to visit my grandma then came all the way back to Bloomington. Later that night we got to the fireworks right in time with Ryan and Deanna. We thought maybe we had missed them, but they started right as we sat down in an awesome spot we found. After watching the fireworks, we had to go get some of our own at the discount place and then lit them off in my office parking lot (don't tell my landlord). Let me just say The Frog Prince is the coolest firework ever! Go buy yourself one right now!

I took Saturday off as well as Friday. I got very spoiled by taking two days off in a row. Because I work everyday of the week, taking 2 days off feels like a whole week to me. I wanted to get to the wedding an hour early and it started at 6pm. We were going to meet Tessa and Nick and ride the rest of the way with them, so we wanted to get to their house around 3. We met them, drove to New Harmony, parked, walked around a bit, and then I glanced at my phone. It said 4:10....I asked why my phone said 4:10....and that's when we realized "CRAP" that we were 2 hours early for the wedding! We had all forgotten that New Harmony was on a different time zone! I went into instant panic because I didn't want anyone to see that we got there so early! But, we turned it into a good thing, rented a golf cart and took a tour of the town. Tessa and Nick had never been there before, so it was a treat to show them around (which really only took 20 minutes). Elia was a perfect baby all day which helped those 2 hours go by smoothly. The wedding was beautiful and the reception was like a miniature high school reunion because 2 guys, Isaac and Drew showed up who I hadn't seen since high school! I hadn't seen Nick since our wedding 4 years ago, so it was great just to catch up and see how everyone was doing. What was really neat was that it didn't feel like it had been that long since I had seen everyone - we just went straight into old jokes and behaviors....maybe that just means we're all just as immature now as we were then, I don't know. Overall, it was a great weekend and a fun 2 days off! These last 2 weddings have been so special and fun and I have felt honored to have been at both! There ya go Crystal, I have update this thing!
