So I'm thinking about buying a new bike. Or just a bike since I don't currently have one. I could have my mom look for one at a garage sale again, but I really want a "good" new bike instead this time. I'm willing to spend some money on it, cause I want it to be worth it, but I know they can get outrageous so I want to be careful not to spend too much. I want this bike for many reasons.....I think it's always just good to have one, I can maybe help the environment with it (is that what you would like for us to do Mr. M. Night?), it provides a different form of exercise then my normal running, and I might want to participate in a triathlon in the next year or so. I was really encouraged and impressed by Kyle and Jerod last year for doing the triathlon and might brave it myself someday. In that one, you have to ride 10 miles. I haven't been on a bike for probably 4 years, so I need to start training if that's something I want to be able to accomplish. If you have any suggestions on a good bike brand or type, let me know. Otherwise, right now I'm checking them out on REI.com. My friend Nick and his soon to be wife registered there, so that's what got me looking on their website. It's a really cool site! So there ya go, let the biking begin.....before you know it, you'll be stuck behind me on a hilly, tight back road in Bloomington cursing me through the windows!

I know nothing about bikes, but if you get a used one make sure the tires are good - or you get a good pump - our garage sale bikes weren't great but we just wanted to take strolls around the neighborhood...prob was they were always flat, so we might have ridden them 3 x's!
I am considering getting a bike again and putting a seat on it or something for Evan - thought that would be fun!
that would be awesome
I don't know much about bikes either... except when you ride on one for too long, your butt starts to hurt REALLY bad.
