A busy weekend!

It started early on Friday morning when I left for Tessa's birth. I had set my alarm for 5am and she called me about 5:20 to tell me I could head on up there. She had been induced the night before and had started truly getting contractions around 2am. I got there around 7am to the hospital and saw that Tessa had been doing really well. She progressed quickly and was able to focus through her pain and ended up pushing by 1:30 in the afternoon. And in less than an hour, she had her new baby girl Elia Grace! I was so proud of her and so honored that Tessa and Nick let me help them with their birth! Who would have thought that back in 1st grade when we met, that we would be doing that together almost 20 years later?

I got home that night around 6pm, rushed to the bank and then Travis and I worked in the yard until it started to storm. On Saturday, I saw clients from 9am-3:30 in the afternoon and then babysat for 5 kids until 9pm. It was another long day! On Sunday, I did childcare at church for the 9:30 service, worshiped for the 11 service, saw 2 clients, then babysat for Jerod and Amy's kids Keaton and Landon. I had won 2 tickets to a show at the Bluebird and gave the tickets to them. I have tickets for tomorrow night's show as well which I will try to go to. I won those and some for this weekend's Indy Jazz Fest.

So anyway, the whole point to this long drawn out post is to say that I had a busy weekend and that's why I'm just no posting again. So, anyway, congrats to Tessa and Nick and I hope everyone is safe in the storms!
