as you can probably tell from the lack of posts in a week, I have been very busy! I am currently still house/dog sitting and that's kinda kicking me in the rear. i'm kinda all over the place with that. A good thing though, today was the last day for RC Kids until semester! So I have until the start of September to rest from that, except of course I have to already start planning for it. I need to start finding volunteers, getting together lessons for the entire semester and planning meetings. I also need to now start planning for church camp this summer. For our movie focus this year, we're going to watch Labyrinth. I know, sounds like a crazy idea, but I think you find a lot of good messages in there if you seek them out. My goal is to make some sort of a labyrinth for the kids to walk through. It won't be much of a "maze" but I want different stops along the way that they can hopefully pull things from. I also want to make a skit involving some kind of message around the thought of "which way do i go?!" and "who can I trust" This all may be really simple or very hard, not sure yet. i know I will be sitting in front of the tv a lot though watching the movie & coming up with daily lessons for it. I did the same thing last summer with National Treasure and let me tell ya, I don't think I can ever sit through it entirely again! If you have seen the movie and have any ideas that you have pulled from it, please let me know. i can use any advice you might have! I will spread this around a million more times, but we also still need some more counselors, male and female. And a pastor! Yikes! If you're interested, let me know, or spread the word!
