ANI

Sunday night was the Ani DiFranco concert at the Murat Theater. Travis got us tickets for my birthday. It was my 3rd time to see her and Travis' 4th time! We were in the 2nd row, so this was the closest I've ever been to her. It was awesome. If you haven't seen a show at the Murat or the Egyptian Room, they are both excellent rooms for a concert. This was probably my favorite show of hers not only because we were so close, but also because she played my favorite song which hardly ever happens. Then, she played like our top 3 songs! Again, that never happens! Ani has recently had a baby, so it was great, and funny to hear her talk about that which was much more interesting to me than her political banter. Even though she has been married and has a baby, the population of her concerts still consists mostly of her devoted lesbian couples which is always entertaining. After the show, we went in search of the new Dunkin Donuts in Caramel. We were guessing that it would probably be closed by the time we arrived, but we were hopeful and eager in our pursuit. But, alas, they had closed probably hours before we got there which was close to midnight. We were crushed, because as you might know, donuts are my favorite food. So, needless to say, we turned around sadly and went back home. We didn't get back home till pretty late especially since we also stopped for gas and dorritos and sprite (my craving had changed)!

This weekend I was supposed to be gone to North Carolina, but we're not going now. Instead, I'm going to the Mike Bribiglia show on Saturday night at the Music Mill. I'm glad I get to see him now.
