house update

After getting my shoes covered in red clay/mud, this is what I noticed at our house. We now have shutters on the front window (the only window that will have shutters), our air conditioner is hooked up & running, and our floor has been put down, but I couldn't really see it through the window (our door was locked). It's coming along! After spying into my own home, I went for a long walk on Clear Creek Trail. I am very excited for this aspect of our new location. Living in a neighborhood where all of the houses are right next to each other, and we all look similar isn't totally my cup of tea, but knowing that a trail surrounded by woods & farmland is right out my front door definitely makes it worthwhile. I'm always pleased to see land that hasn't been used solely for retail and business. Tonight, I really tried to use my walk as time to pray and reflect on the day. I closed my eyes & soaked in all of the smells & sounds of nature. I know I would've enjoyed it more with a companion, but I tried to use the alone time to my advantage. I got to stop and pet a cute cat that I thought was going to follow me home, and I ran into 3 people I know (Bloomington is such a small town when it comes right down to it). So, in conclusion, my trip to the new house was a good one!
