"Let's open up a restaurant in Santa Fe..."

Jacci and I have made it safely to our first "real" stop of our rd. trip and have landed at a place called Ten Thousand Waves near Santa Fe, New Mexico. We stayed for a few hours first in Missouri and then drove 12+ hours to finally arrive here last night at 9:30pm which would have been 11:30pm Indiana time. We missed the actual check-in time, but the people are soooo nice here and not only did one person stay late in the spa area to talk me through directions on how to get here, but then the security person helped us check in, carried our bags, and was just so pleasant! We love it here already and can't believe how amazing our room is! It's called The Sailor Room and we have a full bed, a day bed with stars above it, a flat screen TV on the wall with a fire place below it which is built into the wall, heated floors, a HEATED TOILET! and a HUGE SHOWER! Apparently, you can fit like 10 people in it if you so choose! We haven't tried that yet, but you know, if we find 8 other people....:) We also have our own private courtyard! I'm telling you, this place is amazing! It's all very Japanese styled and everything is based on the way they would do things in Japan. We had planned to sleep in today till like 11 or so, but we of course got up at 7am and now we're watching Little Miss Sunshine. We have our appointments at 2:15 this afternoon to do a mineral bath of sorts for 50 minutes, and then receive herbal wraps! Tonight, we'll probably go into Santa Fe for dinner and to check out the town. Until we have to be anywhere, we might try to walk around or maybe even do a bike ride....if my tightened up quads will allow that kind of activity. The whole running 13 miles and then sitting in the car for a day and a half kind of did a number on my legs! Ok, here are some pictures to enjoy from the trip so far!
