I'm finally getting back on here after our trip. As you saw, Travis kept you updated while we were gone with his Lord of the Rings metaphors, but I apologize for not quite giving you a true rundown of the actual trip yet....
We had an excellent time! It was a short trip (Saturday through Wednesday), but definitely worth going. We stayed in a town about 2 hours north of Phoenix called Cotton wood with a client's mother. All I had to do was give her 2 massages while we were there as our rent payment! It was great! On Saturday, we pretty much just took it easy after we finally got to her house. Sunday, we went to Sedona which neither of us had been to before even though people have been telling me to go there for years. We had a lot of fun walking around the red rocks and then into the town of Sedona. The red rocks are an amazing site and just looked so beautiful and unreal matched up against the bright blue sky! On Monday, we did another first and drove up to the Grand Canyon. This was on my birthday which made my birthday very unique this year. The drive up there alone was awesome! We drove through Flagstaff which I was in awe of for some reason and am pretty sure I want to move there someday in the near future. Don't worry, we will let you know when we decide to move.... :P As we made our way to the Grand Canyon, the temperature kept dropping, and by the time we were 1/2 way done doing our sight seeing for the day, it was down into the upper 50s and raining! I was pretty sure I was going to be blown over the edge by the time we reached our last lookout stop! That was our cue to make it back home for the day...on our way back we drove back through Oak Creek Canyon again which is such a pretty drive. Props to Travis for driving that much downhill on windy roads in the rain...twice! On Tuesday which was our last day, we were just going to lie around and do nothing, but I ended up getting an appointment for a myofascial treatment in Sedona (i had been put on the cancellation list) so we went in for that and then spent some more time out and about in the town. Everyone who told me I would love Sedona was right! I don't think we could get enough of that town! Then, on Wednesday, we left bright and early to make our way back home. Again, it was a short trip, but it was worth it! I'm so glad we went and even though I really didn't catch up on any sleep, it was definitely good to get away for a few days. And I'm so glad I got to see other parts of Arizona beyond the southern half. Tuscon is still my favorite city, but Sedona and Flagstaff are making a close 2nd and 3rd! Flagstaff here we come!!! :)
Now I need to start planning my road trip out west with Jacci...if you have any ideas of where we need to go, pass them along...we have already gotten lots of suggestions...

Aren't you a little old for road trips?
They're great pics!
too old for road trips?! most people are old when they take road trips...i just don't have the RV
Dude, isn't that church on the hill amazing??? I thought the views from up there were awesome. A road trip would be totally awesome and my suggestion would be to just hope on Route 66 and go from there :)
