Overheated
Yesterday, I had some errands to run in between clients. I got to one of my last few which was grocery shopping at Kroger. When I finished & got back in my car, my car wouldn't start. No warning or anything, just wouldn't start. It made some clicking noises, but that was it. I tried for a while, checked that everything was turned off and how it should be, but then realized I needed some help, so I called Travis. He came over from the mall (which is close). But of course, soon after he parked (and tried to move into a spot next to me which had some girls in it who were taking forever to leave), I tried it again, and it started. By this point, I was dripping in sweat, and needed to get back to work soon. Travis followed me home so I could put the groceries away, I made a sandwich, then we were back on the road both back to work. Luckily it did well the rest of the day. We think it just got too hot and the battery wanted to give up. I didn't go ahead and buy a battery last night, but I may need to soon. But as this was all going on, I realized what we take for granted everyday. I prayed that God would help my car start, but I needed to make sure and thank Him later. We can't just ask and ask, we have to make sure we're thankful as well. How simple something like our car starting is until it doesn't start....we need to be thankful everyday. I also have to be thankful that I have a husband who is willing to come over and help me in the middle of the day without complaining at all....maybe he just wanted an excuse to leave work though...not sure! :)
