Sign Me Up For Dumbledore's Army

Wednesday night we watched Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix with Amber, Jamie, and Mike. I have to say, as a fan of the books, there was certainly a lot left out. That said, a good majority of what was left out was little nit picky stuff. I admit I was concerned that the longest book was going to be the shortest movie, but I am pleased to say that of all the Potter films, this one may now be my favorite. I may even make it back to the theater to watch it again. Great performances all around. Especially by Daniel Radcliffe as Harry. He made the angry, whining, Harry from the books far more tolerable in the film version. I also enjoyed the new girl, Evanna Lynch, as Luna Lovegood. She is adorable and probably slightly insane to be able to portray Luna as well as she does. I'm also happy to report that Hermione's eyebrows were in check for this one as well. If you don't know what I'm talking about, watch any of the other 4 movies and witness an awe-inspiring display of eyebrow mastery when she's on screen. It's like they are alive. All said, top notch film. I highly recommend it. Probably my favorite movie of the summer so far, ranking ahead of Knocked Up and Ocean's 13 I would say, and far ahead of that crappy Spiderman movie we started things with.
